I have been fortunate to grow up surrounded by dogs, which has provided me with a deep understanding and respect for their unique personalities, needs, and behaviors. My journey with dogs began at a young age. Our first family dog became my companion and friend, and as she grew older, I had the opportunity to care for her through various health challenges. Early on shh required intensive medication management and vigilant care. This experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and empathy in caring for a medically fragile dog. As she went blind later in life, I learned how to support and comfort a dog with a disability, ensuring that she continued to feel safe, loved, and confident despite her limitations. After her passing, we welcomed a new puppy into our home, which allowed me to be involved in training a dog from the very beginning. She is a hunting dog, so our focus was on building a relationship based on mutual respect and trust. This was crucial in managing her strong hunting instincts and ensuring that she could enjoy off-leash walks safely. Through this experience, I learned how to make training a positive, engaging, and trust-building experience for both the dog and myself.

We later adopted a rescue dog who had been mistreated and came with a number of health issues. Working with her was a transformative experience, as I helped her rebuild trust in humans, particularly men, and taught her that her boundaries would be respected. Understanding that she had learned to fend for herself as a puppy, I worked hard to establish a balance where she could trust us to care for her needs while also giving her the autonomy to feel secure. Over time, she has blossomed into a loving and confident dog who now meets the world with excitement instead of fear.

Currently living in Paris as a student, I am not able to have a dog of my own, but my love for dogs remains as strong as ever. Becoming a dog walker and sitter allows me to continue working and interacting with animals, which brings me immense joy and positively impacts my health.

I can provide dog walking that is tailored to the specific needs of each dog and their owner. I treat all animals with deep respect and strive to understand how they perceive the world. I recognize that a dog's understanding of humans, their demands, and expectations is complex and somewhat limited, and they learn differently than we do. I appreciate that each dog is as individual as a human, with unique histories, communication styles, and motivations. I am committed to meeting every dog at their level, working with what they bring to the table, and ensuring that they feel understood and cared for.

While I am unable to bring animals into my own home, I am happy to offer dog sitting in a client’s home, whether during the day or overnight if needed. Additionally, I can provide basic training for both younger and older dogs, ensuring that they receive the guidance and care they need at every stage of their life.
